Don Bowes has been a project leader for the University at Buffalo Engineering Department’s Center for Industrial Effectiveness since 2001 where his client base has covered a broad scope of healthcare, service and manufacturing organizations.

As a Lean Six Sigma Enterprise trainer and facilitator, Mr. Bowes has delivered instructional training and directed implementation projects in a wide range of areas from Lean Overview and Value Stream Mapping through 5S, Set-Up Reduction, Pull Systems and Kaizen Events.  These tools are also integral components of the efficiency and profit-improvement seminars he conducts, in addition to workshops on Data Driven Performance and Business Management System Enhancement where he draws on his extensive management experience in private industry. This background allows him to bring a strong business performance yet practical approach to all his projects.

Don also provides training, system development, internal auditing services and procedure-writing assistance on a range of ISO-based Standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO/FS 22000, AS9100 and HACCP.

Healthcare industry clients have included Trillium Health Center, St. Mary’s Hospital, The Resource Center, Allied Industries and a variety of healthcare product and equipment manufacturers including Life Technologies, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Buffalo Filter, BOC Edwards and Imaging Dynamics.
